PH-KBX, a Fokker 70 is the last real Dutch government aircraft. The Fokker 70 did replace the Fokker 28 PH-PBX in 1996. PH-KBX was registered in August 1995 to Fokker Aircraft BV and after completion of the VIP interior the aircraft was transferred to the Dutch government in February 1996. The Netherlands was one of the few countries in the world who where able to design, manufacture and operate their own government aircraft. Medio December 2016 the Fokker 70 was offered for sale by Altea Aero with a TTAF of 8514 hours. The Fokker 70 has been sold and will be withdrawn from use during Juni 2017. It will be replaced by PH-GOV, a Boeing 737-BBJ early 2019. An interim private jet will be leased in between. |
