It is already grounded and stored outside for several years at Abuja, Nigeria.

During a meeting on 30 November 2011 The Federal Executive Councel of Nigeria
allocated a budget of $ 9.5 million for the direct purchase of a DPIFR Bell 429 helicopter
to be operated by NEMA, the National Emergency Management Agency on SAR and EMS missions.
During January 2013 the Bell 429 was airfreighted to Lagos, Nigeria.
