This MD Explorer was first assigned tailnumber N7011V and planned to be delivered to the
Dutch Police as PH-PXG, but the order for the Dutch Police was cancelled on 1 March 2005.
Tailnumber N70124 was assigned in August 2005, and the airframe was shipped to
Police Aviation Services in November 2005. After outfitting with Police role equipment the
NOTAR heli was delivered to the Cambridgeshire Police with tailnumber G-CMBS on 23 May 2006.
This helicopter was ordered in December 2003, after The Home Office agreed to fund half
of the acquisition costs, and is replacing Eurocopter AS355F2 G-CAMB.
