During an official ceremony on 11 April 2554 (2011) at 601 Squadron at Bangkok Don Muang
three Sikorsky 92 helicopters have officially been handed over to the Royal Thai Air Force.
Initially they will be assigned to 509 Squadron for training at Prachuap Khiri Khan.
After completion of training they will be operated by 201 Squadron from Lop Buri.
All 3 helicopters have been equipped with the HELLAS obstacle warning system,
and will be assigned for VVIP flights, but one can also be converted to an EMS configuration.
